Refund policy

If an item you received from Chamelostudio does not meet your expectations, you may return it. This page explains two things that work together: the statutory right of withdrawal that applies to distance sales under French law, and the practical return arrangements Chamelostudio has put in place. The statutory right sets the minimum you are entitled to; our own arrangements do not reduce it.

Your statutory right of withdrawal
Under Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 calendar days from the day you, or a third party you have nominated (other than the carrier), receive the goods. You do not need to give a reason. The day of receipt itself is not counted in the 14-calendar-day period.

To exercise this right, you must notify us of your decision before the period expires. You can do this by email to info@chamelostudio.com or by post to the address below. You may use the standard withdrawal form if you wish, but it is not mandatory; a clear written statement is sufficient.

If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery, without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 calendar days from the day we are informed of your decision. We will use the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise, and you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is the earliest.

Returns beyond the statutory minimum
Chamelostudio also accepts returns for any reason within the same 14-calendar-day window. You do not need to rely on the statutory right of withdrawal to return an item, and you do not need to give a reason. In practice, you can simply email us within 14 calendar days of receipt and we will send you return instructions. Return shipping is free, and there is no restocking fee.

How to start a return
Email info@chamelostudio.com within the 14-calendar-day window. In your message, please include:

  • where and when you purchased the item;

  • your proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt);

  • one or more photographs of the product;

  • a short note explaining why you are returning it.

We will reply with return instructions. Please do not send the item back before receiving those instructions, because we need to log the return against your order.

Return shipping cost
Return shipping is free. There is no restocking fee. You will not be charged for returning an item, regardless of the reason for the return.

Refund processing timeline
Once your returned item arrives at the address above, we inspect it and process the refund within 1 to 2 business days. After we process the refund, the amount is returned to your original payment method. The time it takes for the funds to appear on your statement depends on your bank or payment provider; in practice, this is 7 to 10 business days from the moment we process the refund.

We will notify you by email when the refund has been processed. If you have not received the funds within 10 business days after that notification, contact us at info@chamelostudio.com or call +33619549341 during Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Central European Time.

Condition of returned items
You may handle and inspect the item as you would in a physical shop. Under the statutory right of withdrawal, you are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods. If an item shows signs of use beyond that threshold, we may make a deduction from the refund, but we will explain the reason in writing before doing so. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Damaged or incorrect items
If the item arrived damaged, or if you received something different from what you ordered, contact us within 14 calendar days of delivery with photographs. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund, and you will not bear any return shipping cost.
